ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has partnered with Southeast Asian cloud service provider Aolani Cloud to deploy around 500 NVIDIA Blackwell computing systems in Malaysia. This deployment involves approximately 36,000 NVIDIA B200 chips, aimed at building a high-performance computing cluster to accelerate AI research and development outside of China. The strategic move is part of ByteDance's efforts to enhance its AI capabilities by leveraging advanced computing power. The collaboration with Aolani Cloud marks a significant step in expanding ByteDance's technological infrastructure in the Southeast Asian region.
