BTQ Technologies and ICTK have entered into a $15 million agreement to jointly develop the QCIM quantum-secure chip. This chip will incorporate post-quantum cryptography at the silicon level, targeting applications in defense, IoT, payments, and digital assets. The QCIM chip is designed to enhance AES throughput by five times, handle up to one million signatures per second, and operate with energy efficiency, consuming less than one microjoule per operation.
The partnership will utilize ICTK's manufacturing and distribution capabilities to commercialize the chip, supporting South Korea's quantum defense strategy. This initiative aims to expedite the deployment of quantum-secure technology in critical infrastructure sectors.
