Brazil's Foreign Trade Chamber (Gecex) has announced a new regulation exempting import taxes on specific cooling equipment used for Bitcoin mining. Published in the Federal Official Gazette, the policy aims to streamline the entry of high-power liquid cooling systems into the Brazilian market, specifically those used in mobile data centers. The exemption applies to equipment with a maximum electrical power of 1,700 kW and a thermal capacity exceeding 1,000 kW, designed for the SHA256 algorithm, such as Bitcoin mining. This tax incentive is valid until the end of April 2028.
