BOLTS Technologies has initiated a pilot program to integrate its quantum-resilient software, QFlex, on the Canton Network. This move aims to enhance the blockchain's security against future quantum computing threats. Canton Network, a public blockchain for institutional finance, handles over $4 trillion in repos monthly and supports $6 trillion in on-chain real-world assets.
The QFlex software provides crypto-agile transaction security, enabling users to adapt cryptographic algorithms in real time without requiring code changes. This pilot is in line with the EU's PQS 2030 initiative and supports Canton's cryptographic agility in preparation for upcoming regulations like DLT 2030.
