The body of Maxim Garbuzov, a Russian crypto investor missing since December 2025, has been discovered in a mass grave for unidentified foreign bodies in Bangkok, Thailand. Garbuzov disappeared after leaving his Pattaya residence on December 24, and his remains were found by local volunteers nearly five months later. The cause of death was determined to be a fall from his hotel room. Thai police were unable to locate Garbuzov's body earlier due to a spelling error, which led to it being mistakenly sent to the mass grave. His family is now arranging for the exhumation, cremation, and transportation of his remains to Saint Petersburg.
