Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, has criticized the recent returns of the silver ETF SLV as "outrageously exaggerated," noting that it has only attracted about $1 billion in inflows over the past six months. In contrast, BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF, IBIT, despite a 24% price pullback, has recorded over $6 billion in net inflows. Balchunas views this as a "very positive" indicator for Bitcoin's long-term prospects, emphasizing that consistent inflows during challenging market conditions demonstrate the resilience of a "hardcore" ETF.
