BlockDAG has launched its Awakening testnet, featuring full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility and a transaction speed of 1400 transactions per second (TPS). This development aims to attract over 4500 Ethereum developers by allowing seamless migration of decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi, and NFT projects without requiring code changes. The testnet's launch positions BlockDAG as a competitor to Ethereum, utilizing its hybrid Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture to enhance scalability and efficiency. The project has secured nearly $435 million in pre-sales and plans to launch its mainnet on February 10, 2026, with an initial token price set at $0.05.
