BlackRock's iShares MSCI South Korea ETF (EWY) experienced a record-breaking net inflow of over $2.8 billion last week, according to Bloomberg. This surge surpasses the previous record of $1.2 billion set in February. Approximately 25% of the ETF's positions are allocated to SK Hynix, a major South Korean semiconductor manufacturer.
Overall, South Korean investment products attracted $3.03 billion in net inflows last week, leading globally. In the same period, US-listed emerging market ETFs saw net inflows of $4.39 billion, marking the highest since February 27. Equity ETFs absorbed $4.22 billion, while bond funds attracted $164 million.
