BlackRock's Digital Liquid Fund, BUIDL, has deployed an additional $500 million in tokenized assets on the Aptos blockchain, elevating Aptos to the second position in BUIDL's deployment ranking, just behind Ethereum. The total tokenized real-world assets (RWA) on Aptos have now surpassed $1.2 billion, making it the third-largest network globally for such assets. The BUIDL fund, launched by BlackRock in collaboration with tokenization infrastructure platform Securitize, includes low-risk, high-liquidity assets such as cash, U.S. Treasuries, and repurchase agreements. Initially deployed on Ethereum in March 2024, the fund expanded to Aptos and other chains in November 2024.
