BlackRock has introduced the iShares Nasdaq 100 ETF, trading under the ticker IQQ, with an initial net asset value of $24 per share. This new ETF aims to challenge Invesco's dominance with its QQQ and QQQM ETFs. The launch follows State Street's recent introduction of a similar product, QNDX. Nasdaq has recently revised its listing standards to expedite the inclusion of new companies like SpaceX, while strong demand for AI-driven tech stocks has propelled the Nasdaq 100 Index to its best quarterly performance since April 2020. BlackRock currently manages over $41 billion in assets through its other Nasdaq 100 strategies.
