BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has purchased approximately $250 million worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum through its spot crypto ETFs on March 17. The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) received $169.34 million in inflows, while the Shares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) saw $81.70 million. This move underscores BlackRock's continued leadership in institutional Bitcoin holdings, although Michael Saylor's Strategy is closing the gap with its recent acquisition of 22,337 BTC. The increased institutional demand for crypto ETFs has contributed to Bitcoin's recent price surge, climbing 6.8% to $74,200 over the past week. This trend highlights a growing appetite for Bitcoin, with allocations expanding across ETFs, corporate treasuries, and low-activity wallets, indicating a shift towards long-term accumulation.
