Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley has drawn parallels between the current cryptocurrency market and the dot-com bubble of the 1990s. Horsley noted that during the internet's early days, numerous companies reached high valuations based on potential rather than proven value. However, by the early 2000s, only a few companies with demonstrable value thrived, growing larger and lasting longer than expected. He suggests the crypto market is experiencing a similar shift, where the number of successful projects will decrease, but those that succeed will do so with significant scale and longevity.
