BitMine has increased its Ethereum holdings by 40,613 ETH over the past week, bringing its total to 4,325,738 ETH, which represents 3.58% of the total supply. The company is now over 72% towards its goal of holding 5% of Ethereum's total supply. As of February 8, BitMine's total assets, including cryptocurrencies, cash, and investments, amount to $10 billion, with 2,897,459 ETH staked.
Tom Lee, Executive Chairman of BitMine, noted that despite Ethereum's price dropping approximately 62% from its 2025 peak, on-chain transaction volumes and active addresses have reached all-time highs. Lee views the current price correction as a strategic opportunity for long-term investment, citing historical patterns of V-shaped recoveries following significant pullbacks.
