BitMine has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings by acquiring 30,075 ETH from FalconX on December 18, 2025, for $88.73 million. This purchase occurred as Ethereum's price fell to a two-week low of $2,775. With this acquisition, BitMine's total ETH holdings exceed 4 million, representing more than 3.3% of the total supply.
According to Arkham data, BitMine has invested at least $229 million in Ethereum this week alone. The firm is strategically increasing its stake to 5% of the total supply in anticipation of the 2026 MAVAN launch. This move is part of BitMine's broader strategy to generate approximately $400 million in annual staking revenue from its Ethereum position.
