BitGo is set to introduce quantum-protected security tools for institutional Bitcoin wallets in the coming weeks. These tools aim to help institutions assess, manage, and reduce quantum-related risks in UTXO-type wallets. The new offerings will enhance BitGo's multi-signature security architecture, focusing on wallet key risk management, UTXO processing optimization, and improving institutional wallet operations. The company has filed a provisional patent for a method that mitigates security risks associated with partially spent funds by grouping and prioritizing UTXOs by address. BitGo Co-founder and CEO Mike Belshe emphasized the importance of proactive risk management, stating that institutions should not wait for a quantum event to occur before addressing quantum risks.
