Digital asset infrastructure company BitGo (NYSE: BTGO) announced the launch of its Global Markets division, consolidating liquidity, trade execution, financing, derivatives and settlement services under former NYDIG executive Pete Janney. The new unit follows BitGo's acquisition of NYDIG's institutional and trading business on August 27, which brought approximately 30 employees to the firm.
Global Markets will offer spot and block OTC trading, crypto-collateralized financing, options, swaps and bespoke structured products, alongside asset management strategies, private funds and research services. Clearing and settlement will be handled by Go Network. BitGo Prime, which has operated since 2020, will be folded into the new division.
BTGO shares rose 3.4% in Wednesday premarket trading following the announcement.
