Bitcoin has reached a significant milestone with the mining of its 20 millionth BTC at block height 940,000, according to CloverPool data. This marks approximately 95.2% of the total 21 million BTC supply. With only about 1 million BTC left to be mined over the next 114 years, the issuance rate will continue to slow due to the halving of block rewards approximately every 210,000 blocks. This gradual reduction in new BTC issuance extends the timeline for mining the remaining supply.
