The Bitcoin network recently underwent a rare two-block reorganization near block height 941880. Mining pools Foundry USA, AntPool, and ViaBTC engaged in a mining competition that resulted in two temporary forked chains. Foundry USA subsequently mined consecutive blocks, establishing its chain as the main chain and completing the reorganization. Researchers have clarified that such events are a normal part of Bitcoin's consensus mechanism and do not indicate an attack or system malfunction.
