Bitmain co-founder Jihan Wu stated at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore that Bitcoin mining has laid the groundwork for AI data centers by establishing essential infrastructure such as power access and approvals. This development can significantly reduce the construction time for AI projects. Wu highlighted that Bitdeer, which operates across mining chips, machines, and facilities, controls approximately 3GW of power resources globally, with about 2GW located in the United States. These resources are well-positioned for rapid conversion to AI data centers.
