Bitcoin long-term holder metrics have reached unprecedented levels, according to Alex Thorn, Head of Research at Galaxy Research. The supply held for 10 years or more now accounts for 17.7% of the total, with long-term holders possessing 16.75 million coins. Additionally, the realized market cap for these holders has hit $836.4 billion, and their average cost basis stands at $50,000. These figures suggest that a significant portion of Bitcoin is firmly held by long-term investors, who are not selling despite the average price reaching $50,000. This behavior is contributing to a tightening of the market's circulating supply and providing strong support for Bitcoin prices.
