Bitcoin's price fell sharply from $111,000 to $106,000 within 24 hours, failing to sustain its position above the $110,000 mark amid market volatility. The decline resulted in over $800 million in liquidations across crypto exchanges, with Bitcoin accounting for $302 million and Ethereum for $192 million. Ethereum's price also decreased by 2.8% to $3,820, marking a 22% drop from its $5,000 peak two months ago. The overall cryptocurrency market cap decreased by 2% to $3.69 trillion, with only a few top-100 altcoins recording gains.
