Bitcoin and Ethereum prices remained stable on Saturday following President Trump's announcement of a tariff increase on nearly all imports from 10% to 15%. Bitcoin rose nearly 2% to $68,273, while Ethereum increased by 2% to approximately $1,987, according to CoinGecko. The tariff hike, announced on Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, is effective immediately and targets countries he claims have exploited the US for decades. The announcement follows the Supreme Court's invalidation of Trump's previous tariff program. Despite past volatility in response to Trump's trade policies, the crypto market showed resilience this time, with Bitcoin and Ethereum maintaining stability. This comes amid significant redemptions from US exchange-traded funds, with Bitcoin funds seeing $316 million in outflows and Ethereum funds losing over $123 million this week.
