Binance has hired two senior compliance executives from Crypto.com to strengthen its compliance team. Antonio Alvarez will serve as deputy to Chief Compliance Officer Noah Perlman, while Duncan DeVille will lead global financial crime compliance. Both previously worked at Crypto.com and bring compliance experience from Coinbase, Visa, Western Union and the U.S. Treasury Department. Binance said the hires are a vote of confidence in its compliance program. The move comes after several senior compliance staff left the exchange over the past year, with media reports linking some departures to Binance’s handling of Iran-related funds flows. Binance denied those reports and said its compliance systems are operating normally.
