Binance’s Bitcoin reserves rose to about 690,000 BTC on Aug. 13, roughly 3% above the February peak and about 2% below the August 2024 level of 704,000 BTC, CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha said ahead of this week’s Federal Reserve decision. Taha noted that higher exchange reserves are not necessarily bearish. When reserves reached about 704,000 BTC in August 2024, Bitcoin traded near $59,000; BTC is now near $76,800, about 30% higher. Binance’s ETH holdings stood at about 3.616 million ETH, nearly unchanged from June 9, while ETH rose from about $1,625 to $2,500, a nearly 54% gain. Stablecoin balances also remained elevated, with USDT reserves near $38 billion and USDC rebounding from $4.11 billion on Aug. 5 to about $5.2 billion, up roughly 26.5%. Taha said exchange reserves should be interpreted alongside price and liquidity rather than as a standalone directional signal.
