Biconomy has introduced a new Ethereum standard, ERC-8211, designed to enhance DeFi operations through AI-driven smart batching. This mechanism allows AI agents to execute multi-step DeFi transactions in a single operation, with each step dynamically referencing the previous one. This approach aims to mitigate execution uncertainty due to price volatility and gas fee fluctuations.
The proposed standard is compatible with existing Ethereum infrastructure, requiring no hard fork, and enables developers to create complex workflows using TypeScript. Ethereum Foundation research scientist Barnabé Monnot highlighted that ERC-8211 aligns with the Foundation's mission to improve user experience and will significantly empower AI agents in automating on-chain interactions.
