The Kingdom of Bhutan is set to deploy a Sei Network validator node in the first quarter of 2026, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts. This initiative is a collaboration between the Sei Development Foundation and Bhutan's sovereign wealth fund, DHI, through its technology division. Phuntsho Namgay, head of DHI's Innovation and Technology division, highlighted the wealth fund's plans to explore further collaboration with the Sei Development Foundation, including projects in payment systems and tokenization. Validator nodes are crucial in proof-of-stake networks, ensuring security, validating transactions, and participating in protocol upgrades.
