The government of Bhutan has staked 320 ETH, valued at approximately $970,000, through staking service provider Figment, as part of its efforts to expand its Ethereum validator network. This move follows Bhutan's October announcement to migrate its national self-sovereign digital identity system from Polygon to the Ethereum mainnet, with full migration expected by early 2026. The announcement event was attended by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Bhutan's Prime Minister.
