Bhutan has entered a multi-year agreement with crypto market maker Cumberland DRW to advance its digital asset infrastructure in Gelephu Mindfulness City. This collaboration aims to bolster Bhutan's sustainable cryptocurrency strategy by focusing on Bitcoin reserve management and local talent development. Cumberland will establish a business presence in Gelephu and provide expert training to the local workforce. The partnership, facilitated by Green Digital, seeks to create a national crypto ecosystem that includes modern financial frameworks, sustainable mining, AI computing, yield generation, and stablecoin infrastructure. This initiative aligns with Bhutan's goals of sustainable development and economic diversification.
