Jeff Bezos's AI company, Project Prometheus, has appointed Kyle Kosic, co-founder of xAI, to oversee its AI infrastructure. Kosic, who previously co-founded xAI with Musk and led the development of the supercomputer Colossus, returns to the AI forefront after a stint at OpenAI. Project Prometheus, headquartered in San Francisco with offices in London and Zurich, has recruited hundreds of engineers and researchers and claims to have built the largest data corpus in the engineering field. The company is actively pursuing equity stakes in industries such as engineering, aviation, and construction to enhance operations through data acquisition. Bezos and co-CEO Vikram Bajaj are raising tens of billions for a "perpetual capital vehicle," likened to a "Berkshire Hathaway-style holding company." Discussions are underway with sovereign wealth funds in Singapore and the Gulf region for potential investments.
