Bermuda has partnered with WalletConnect to introduce cryptocurrency payment capabilities for local merchants. The initiative is scheduled to launch in Q2 2027, beginning with the ticketing platform PTIX. Under the new system, payments made through PTIX will transfer funds directly from customers' wallets to event organizers' wallets, settling within seconds. This marks a significant step toward integrating crypto-based transaction infrastructure into Bermuda's commercial ecosystem.
