Beijing police have arrested 15 individuals involved in producing over 2.5 million yuan in counterfeit currency, which was sold in exchange for virtual currency. The operation was uncovered after authorities detected suspicious transactions linked to counterfeit currency images. The suspects, mostly born after 2000, used overseas software to learn counterfeiting techniques and employed printers to produce the fake currency. They also taught others these methods, further profiting from the illegal activity. Eight counterfeiting operations were dismantled in the process.
