Avraham "Avi" Eisenberg, known for the 2022 Mango Markets exploit, has denied allegations of threatening to attack Aave (AAVE) following reports of renewed activity from his wallet. On-chain analytics firm Arkham highlighted a transaction from an address linked to Eisenberg, suggesting his return to the crypto scene after serving a prison sentence for fraud and manipulation. Eisenberg refuted claims of targeting Aave, asserting that his actions in 2022 were responsible disclosures. He stated that he informed Aave's team privately about potential risks before making them public. The controversy traces back to his attempt to liquidate Curve (CRV) founder Michael Egorov's position, which resulted in Eisenberg's own liquidation. Further tension arose from Chaos Labs founder Omer Goldberg's claims that Eisenberg sought access to attack-cost models post-Mango incident. Eisenberg dismissed these claims, stating the described communication never occurred. Despite the disputes, Eisenberg's address remains unblacklisted, with no new exploit activities reported.
