Astria Network, built on Celestia, has announced the termination of its shared sequencer network, ceasing operations at block height 15,360,577. Launched approximately a year ago, Astria aimed to provide decentralized sequencing for Layer 2 networks but faced several setbacks, including the suspension of its early EVM Rollup Flame development and subsequent rollback of its integration. Despite securing $12.5 million in strategic funding in 2024, the project struggled with limited market adoption. The team has not disclosed detailed reasons for the shutdown.
