BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes criticized the U.S. Clarity Act, saying it would be “unfavorable and even terrible” for real innovation in the American crypto industry and for building products that meet market demand.
Hayes said Bitcoin has never needed the Clarity Act since its launch in 2009 and will not need it in the future. He argued that regulatory legislation should not become a prerequisite that restricts industry development and product innovation.
