Arpan Nanavati said declining AI inference costs could sharply expand the use of onchain agents over the next two to three years. He said running an agent currently costs about $10 per day, limiting usage to well-funded firms, but noted inference costs have already fallen 100x in the past three years.
Nanavati said each drop in cost could broaden adoption across crypto. At roughly $1 per day, protocols could run agents; at cents per day, wallets could embed agents to manage idle capital; and at microcents, large swarms of agents could become viable. He argued that, following Jevons paradox, collapsing costs could drive usage to scale dramatically.
