Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, purchased approximately $32.5 million worth of SpaceX shares on Monday, acquiring 210,121 shares across four of its ETFs. This acquisition comes as SpaceX's stock, SPCX, experienced a significant drop of 16.43%, closing at $154.60, which erased all gains since its listing on June 12. The stock had previously peaked at $225.64 on June 16.
SpaceX has now become the sixth-largest holding in Ark's ARKK ETF, representing 4.46% of the fund, equivalent to about $313.7 million. It is also a major holding in ARKQ, ARKX, and ARKW. On the same day, SpaceX announced its first bond issuance, aimed at repaying bridge loans and supporting general corporate purposes, although the size of the issuance remains undisclosed.
