Arbitrum DAO has received a constitutional-level proposal from Aave Labs, KelpDAO, LayerZero, EtherFi, and Compound to release 30,765.67 ETH previously frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council. The funds, frozen on April 21, 2026, are linked to an attacker and are intended to address a 76,127 ETH shortfall in rsETH collateral. The proposal aims to transfer the ETH to a multi-signature Gnosis Safe address to compensate affected users and restore collateral support. The proposal is currently in the governance process, with an expected duration of approximately 49 days. It does not involve additional treasury expenditure. The proposal has received unanimous support, with a 100% approval rate in the ongoing vote, which is set to conclude on May 8, 2026, at 2:54 AM Beijing time.
