The new policy allocates monthly quotas for different user plans: $20 for Pro users, $100 for Max 5x and Advanced Team plans, and up to $200 for Max 20x and Advanced Enterprise plans. These quotas are exclusively for third-party applications and reset monthly, with no rollover. Once exhausted, users must pay standard API rates. While Anthropic frames this as a protective measure for users' daily chat limits, the developer community views it as a shift away from "unlimited usage" plans, potentially increasing costs for high-usage users.
