Anthropic has appointed Accenture as its first embedded evaluator to help slow AI development and strengthen safety protocols. The partnership, which includes Accenture’s AI unit Faculty, will focus on model evaluation, red-teaming, alignment assessment, and safety testing. Both parties have committed at least $1 billion to the program over the next five years, with Anthropic planning to announce additional non-exclusive evaluation partners in coming weeks. The initiative follows CEO Dario Amodei’s September 12 proposal outlining a three-step approach to slowing AI development and establishing safety safeguards against catastrophic risks from unconstrained growth. While OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk expressed support for the framework, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang opposed the measures, arguing such regulation is unnecessary.
