Anthropic has signed a new OneGov agreement with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), offering government customers a 40% discount on Claude Enterprise, Claude for Government, and the Claude API. The deal covers direct purchases and cloud provider channels launching over the coming months, extending eligibility to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments for the first time. Anthropic estimates the agreement will save governments approximately $1 billion, with no minimum spending threshold required. Roughly 500 U.S. federal, state, and local government agencies currently use Claude, while weekly active users of Claude for Government have grown about 8x since February.
