Anthropic is finalizing a pre-IPO syndicated loan that would expand its revolving credit facility to about $15 billion, according to Bloomberg. The financing is aimed at completing funding arrangements before the company files its prospectus.
Morgan Stanley is leading the facility, with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Citigroup serving as lead arrangers. A broad group of banks is also participating, including Barclays, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, UBS, Bank of Montreal, BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole, Mizuho, Mitsubishi UFJ, Sumitomo Mitsui and Toronto-Dominion. The facility is larger than an earlier target of roughly $10 billion and marks a sharp increase from Anthropic’s $2.5 billion five-year credit line secured last year. Terms may still change.
