A class-action lawsuit against Anthropic has revealed new details alleging that the company’s Max 5x and Max 20x subscriptions apply advertised “5x” and “20x” usage only within five-hour session windows, while still imposing weekly usage caps. The lawsuit, first filed in June, claims the subscription limits differ significantly from the promoted usage multiples. Anthropic previously cut off support for third-party app OpenClaw’s access to Claude subscriptions, citing the need to protect the experience of heavy users. Anthropic did not respond to a request for comment.
