Anthropic has abandoned plans to acquire AI startup Decart AI after conducting due diligence on a deal valued at approximately $6 billion.
The companies may still explore other forms of collaboration. Decart develops software-hardware co-optimization technology designed to improve chip utilization efficiency and reduce AI training and inference costs.
Anthropic has rarely pursued large-scale M&A and has recently increased investment in computing power to develop new products and serve clients, while preparing for an IPO that could approach or surpass SpaceX’s scale.
