Anthropic has increased the rate limits for its Claude Code service following a significant expansion in GPU capacity. The company has partnered with SpaceX to fully utilize the Colossus 1 data center, securing over 300 megawatts of power and more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs. This expansion allows Anthropic to double the five-hour rate limit for Claude Code across Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, while removing peak hour restrictions for Pro and Max accounts. Additionally, API rate limits for the Claude Opus model have been substantially increased.
