Ant Financial's Layer 2 blockchain, Jovay, has unveiled its official white paper, setting an ambitious target of achieving 100,000 transactions per second (TPS). The platform employs advanced technologies such as parallel pipeline execution and hybrid validity proofs, transitioning from Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP). Current capabilities allow a single node to handle 15,700–22,000 TPS, with peak performance reaching 30,000 TPS for ERC-20 transfers and 28,000 TPS for native transfers on a 32-core/64GB setup, maintaining an end-to-end latency of approximately 160 milliseconds. Jovay's ZK Prover is enhanced with Sumcheck-style Polynomial Interactive Oracle Proofs (PIOPs), a WHIR commitment scheme, and GPU cluster acceleration, offering a significant speedup over traditional CPU processing. The platform aims to achieve its 100,000 TPS goal through clustering, focusing on standardized processes for Real World Assets (RWA) and a robust cross-chain security architecture.
