OpenAI co-founder Andrej Karpathy has released a comprehensive job outlook map assessing the susceptibility of 342 occupations to AI replacement. The map, unveiled on March 15, uses a scale of 10 to indicate the potential for AI substitution, with higher scores denoting greater vulnerability. Essential hands-on roles such as roofers, cleaners, construction workers, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, nurses, and home care workers are deemed less susceptible to AI replacement. In contrast, occupations like medical transcriptionists, software developers, data analysts, legal assistants, and financial analysts, which are predominantly digital, scored higher in terms of AI substitutability.
