Anchorage Digital and Mezo have partnered to introduce an institutional-grade Bitcoin finance platform. This collaboration allows asset holders to borrow against their Bitcoin using Mezo's MUSD stablecoin and earn yield through veBTC, a veNFT issued for locking Bitcoin. Anchorage Digital's Porto wallet will provide secure self-custody infrastructure for these services.
The borrowing feature is now live, with veBTC rewards set to launch soon. Mezo, developed by venture studio Thesis, aims to offer a permissionless banking experience for Bitcoin holders, enhancing the financial utility of Bitcoin assets for institutional clients.
