Democratic sweep of Congress has set the stage for an internal party battle over crypto regulation, according to Jordan Schneider of ChinaTalk. While many newly elected Democratic members did not prioritize cryptocurrency issues during their campaigns, established figures in Washington believe they have a mandate to aggressively target the sector. "There are people in DC who do think they have a mandate to again attack crypto quite vehemently," Schneider said. "There will be a fight within the Democratic party over whether that happens."
