American Airlines has reported that its implementation of Ripple Treasury has surpassed initial expectations, enhancing efficiency and allowing the airline to focus on strategic financial tasks. The airline, which adopted Ripple Treasury prior to Ripple's acquisition of GTreasury in October 2025, has integrated its treasury operations into a single platform, replacing fragmented systems and bank portals. Ryan Millard, Director of Global Banking and Treasury Services at American Airlines, highlighted the significant improvements in treasury technology infrastructure, noting that global cash visibility increased from 65% to 99%, and automated accounting tasks rose from 50% to 90%. The integration has also freed up 20% of treasury staff time, enabling a focus on higher-level priorities. Ripple Treasury connects to approximately 13,000 banks globally and integrates with major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.
