AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed the company will increase its previously announced $10 billion supply chain investment in Taiwan due to surging AI computing demand. During a private meeting with TSMC in Hsinchu, Su stated the original investment plan remains on schedule and will be expanded further as market conditions accelerate.
Su also visited key manufacturing partners including Foxconn, Quanta, ASUS, and Acer to strengthen supplier cooperation. She noted that despite significant production expansions this year, demand for AMD CPUs and GPUs still exceeds supply. The company is now working with TSMC, packaging testers, and substrate suppliers to accelerate capacity ramp-up across its supply chain.
